LOMBARD GENERAL INSURANCE has installed a sophisticated new software interface to support its reinsurance placing, accounting and monitoring capabilities. 

The new interface - developed by reinsurance software specialist Blem Information Management - has been designed to provide a critical link between Lombard’s existing ReWin package and its new Progen system. Lombard reinsurance manager Kelvin Phillips comments: "We are delighted with the new software.

"As ReWin complements the Progen system by providing the reinsurance functionality we require, it is crucial that the two applications communicate effectively. We are able to manage the reinsurance process swiftly and proactively and the Blem software has proved a valuable new tool in assisting our programme modelling activities.

The interface offers Lombard a vast array of statistical information to assist the management of its developing reinsurance programme.
